Full job descriptionOur client, a Greater Manchester council, is seeking an experienced Children’s Advanced Partitioner to join their EDT Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
*Respond to out-of-hours safeguarding concerns for children and families, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
*Undertake urgent risk assessments where children may be at immediate risk of harm
*Make swift decisions on protective actions, including initiating strategy discussions and emergency interventions
*Work closely with police, health professionals, and other partner agencies during crisis situations
*Arrange and support emergency placements for children where required (e.g. foster care or residential settings)
*Provide advice and guidance to professionals and families during emergencies
*Complete timely and accurate record-keeping to ensure continuity of care when daytime teams resume
*Participate in Section 47 enquiries and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed
*Support court processes where urgent legal action is needed (e.g. Emergency Protection Orders)
*Ensure all decisions are made in line with legislation, policies, and best practice
Requirements of this role:
*Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
*Must have minimum of 3 years experience working as a Qualified social worker
*Must have EDT experience
