Full job descriptionReed Business Support are recruiting for a full-time Office Administrator role based in the South Ribble area, on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation operating within the e-commerce and distribution sector.
Our client supplies a wide range of products to their customer base and operates within a fast-paced, service-driven environment, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction. Due to continued success, they are now seeking an organised and customer-focused individual to join their busy office team.
This is a varied and hands-on role, playing a key part in supporting customer service operations, financial processes, and wider business functions. The successful candidate will help maintain high service standards by ensuring customer enquiries and orders are handled promptly, accurately, and professionally.
As an Office Administrator, you will:
*Support the delivery of excellent customer service, ensuring all enquiries are responded to promptly and professionally
*Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, maintaining high levels of attention to detail
*Handle and investigate customer queries via telephone and email, resolving issues and improving the overall customer experience
*Manage returns and refunds, preparing information for accounts processing
*Allocate incoming BACS and cheque payments accurately to support reconciliation processes
*Assist with credit control duties, including chasing overdue payments, resolving queries and issuing copy invoices
Skills & Experience
*Previous experience in a customer service, administration or office support role, with confident communication via phone and email
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload and work accurately under pressure
*Excellent attention to detail and numerical ability, with confidence handling financial information and resolving queries
*Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook and Excel) and comfortable using IT systems and databases
*Positive, professional and proactive approach, with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
Salary and Benefits
*Annual salary up to £30,000
