Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced and fully qualified English Teacher to join a secondary school in East London. This is a fulltime temp to perm opportunity starting September 2026.

Role Summary
We are looking for an English Teacher who:
*Holds QTS and has solid, proven teaching experience
*Can confidently deliver English at KS3, KS4 and KS5
*Has strong subject knowledge and a track record of raising attainment
*Brings enthusiasm, professionalism and a positive classroom presence
*Works well within a collaborative department

Position: English Teacher

*Hours: 8:00am 3:30pm/4:00pm + parents evenings
*Pay: Inner London Pay Scale
*Commitment: Full time only

Essential Requirement
*QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

*English-related degree

*PGCE / SCITT / Teach First (or equivalent)

*Experienced teachers only - not open to ECTs

*DBS - or willingness to obtain one
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional child related references
