Full job descriptionPGCE Graduate Secondary Teacher (All Subjects)Location: Tameside, Gorton & Denton
Start Date: September
Job Type: Full-time (ECT / Early Career Teacher)
Salary: MPS (Main Pay Scale – paid in line with experience)
About the RoleWe are seeking motivated PGCE graduates ready to begin their teaching journey in secondary schools. We welcome applications from ALL subject specialisms, including core and foundation subjects.
You will be supported as you begin your Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction, helping you grow into a confident and inspiring classroom teacher.
Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across KS3 & KS4 (KS5 where applicable)
Assess and track student progress
Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment
Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policy
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Engage in whole-school activities, parents’ evenings, and pastoral duties
What We’re Looking For PGCE qualified (QTS achieved or pending)
Strong subject knowledge in your specialist area
Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
Passion for teaching and inspiring young people
Strong communication and organisational skills
Commitment to professional development and growth
