Job Description:
Full job descriptionKCR Solutions are delighted to be working with a successful, driven business on the outskirts of Newcastle to help them recruit a commercially minded Finance Manager. This is a key role combining strong financial control with strategic input, offering clear progression towards senior leadership. Your duties will be as follows:
*Full responsibility for the finance function, delivering accurate reporting, controls and actionable commercial insight
*Liaising with other senior managers, supporting decision making and performance improvement
*Translating financial data into clear, actionable recommendations
*Leading budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling
*Contributing to pricing, investment, and cost decisions; developing KPIs and performance dashboards
*Responsible for monthly management accounts, including variance analysis
*Overseeing month-end processes, reconciliations, and journals
*Managing audit processes and strengthening internal controls
*Supporting new system implementation and acting as the finance systems lead and superuser
*Driving system improvements, automation, and efficiency
*Overseeing sales and purchase ledgers and cash flow management
*Supervising payroll and fixed asset accounting
*Supporting lease, pricing, and contract decisions
*Contributing to investment appraisals and project analysis
*Managing VAT, statutory reporting, and regulatory submissions
*Leading and developing a small finance team
You will be a qualified Accountant and have experience in a broad finance role within an SME or multi-site business. Strong technical and management accounting skills are imperative, along with advanced Excel skills. Experience of a cloud-based system would be advantageous.
This role will suit someone who is keen to develop and progress and who is keen to ensure that they become an integral part of the business.
