Associate Director - Indirect TaxAdvance Your Career in a Leading Advisory EnvironmentYou’ll be joining a high-performing and fast-growing Indirect Tax practice within a top-tier professional services firm. The team has seen significant expansion in recent years and is now looking for an experienced Associate Director to help drive its continued success.

Your RoleAs an Associate Director, you’ll take on a leadership position within the team, working with major clients across a range of sectors including Financial Services, Real Estate, Public Sector, Consumer, Energy, Technology, and more.
You’ll have the opportunity to specialise in a particular industry or operate across a diverse portfolio, depending on your interests.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Leading client engagements and delivering high-quality Indirect Tax advice
*Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, working closely with senior stakeholders
*Managing and developing high-performing teams, including mentoring junior staff
*Overseeing technical research and translating complex tax matters into practical solutions
*Contributing to business development by identifying new opportunities and growing client relationships
*Keeping ahead of developments in areas such as e-invoicing, digital VAT reporting, and AI in tax
*Supporting and collaborating with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives
You’ll also gain exposure to a wide variety of work, from large-scale property transactions and international supply chain structuring to corporate transactions and global advisory projects.
What You’ll BringYou’ll be an experienced Indirect Tax professional with a strong technical foundation and a commercial mindset. You’ll be confident leading engagements and building trusted client relationships.
Key requirements include:
*Extensive VAT experience gained in practice, industry, or a regulatory environment
*Strong knowledge of UK VAT legislation and case law
*Proven experience delivering complex advisory work and leading client engagements
*Experience managing and developing teams
*Professional qualification (ATT, CTA or equivalent preferred)
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
*A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and taking ownership of client portfolios
