Temporary Rate: £90 - £105 per Day
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Science Technician to join a thriving secondary school in Milton Keynes from September.
This is an excellent opportunity to become a valued member of the Science Department, providing essential technical support to teaching staff and helping to ensure practical lessons run smoothly and safely.
Working Hours*Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 3:50pm
*Friday: 8:00am – 3:20pm
*37 hours per week
*Term time only
The RoleAs a Science Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of engaging science lessons by:
*Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for practical experiments
*Maintaining laboratory equipment and resources
*Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed
*Managing stock levels and ordering supplies when required
*Supporting teaching staff with practical lesson preparation
*Keeping laboratories organised, clean, and safe
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:
*Has a background in Science (desirable but not essential)
*Has experience working in a Science department, school laboratory, or similar environment (advantageous)
*Is highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
*Has strong attention to detail
*Can work independently as well as part of a team
*Is committed to supporting high-quality teaching and learning
