Job Description:
Full job descriptionElevation Recruitment are supporting a long-established Sheffield manufacturing business in their search for a skilled CNC Machine Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing precision-engineered components that meet demanding customer and industry standards.
Salary: Competitive
Shift Pattern: Days and Nights Rotation
Location: Sheffield
Responsibilities
*Produce machined parts to exact specifications using CNC Turning Machines, ensuring all work aligns with internal quality processes.
*Read and interpret technical drawings to manufacture components accurately and within planned production times.
*Maintain a safe and organised workspace, upholding high housekeeping standards at all times.
*Work with high-performance materials, including alloys such as Inconel 718.
*Meet production and quality targets by delivering components to the required standard within agreed timeframes.
Requirements
*At least two years’ machining experience within the oil and gas sector or a similarly demanding industry.
*Hands-on experience operating CNC lathes.
*Solid understanding of tooling selection, feeds, speeds and machine capabilities to optimise cycle times and efficiency.
*Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
*Clear and confident communication within the team and wider production environment.
*Adaptability when responding to changing priorities or workloads.
*Effective problem-solving skills when dealing with machining challenges or technical issues.
