Full job descriptionLead DevOps Engineer (REMOTE)
We are exclusively partnering with a global consultancy who are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to build a DevOps function from scratch.
This is a rare opportunity to define the DevOps strategy, establish standards, and create the tooling, processes, and governance needed to support secure and scalable cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
*Previous experience in building a DevOps function from the ground up is essential.
*Set DevOps standards, policies, and governance
*Design and manage CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Power Platform, Fabric)
*Drive Infrastructure as Code and automation (Azure/Terraform/Bicep)
*Improve release, deployment, and environment management
*Own monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response
*Support secure access and identity (Entra ID)
*Work with engineering teams to take solutions into live production
*Champion DevOps culture and continuous improvement
Skills and Experience
*Experience building or leading a DevOps function is essential
*Strong Azure experience (plus M365, Power Platform, Fabric)
*Hands-on CI/CD with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub
*Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform or Bicep)
*Experience supporting production systems and incident management
*Understanding of cloud security and governance
*Strong communication and stakeholder skills
