Our Client are a leading British Manufacturer within the Materials Handling sector.
Currently recruiting for a IT Systems Engineer.
Hours of work: 7.00am to 4:00pm (30 Minutes lunch) Monday to Thursday, 7.00am to 1.00pm on Fridays.
Primary Location: Stourport
The Role:
*Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, desktops, and network infrastructure
*Provide technical support to users across the organisation
*Monitor system performance and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
*Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365 environments
*Support virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
*Assist with cybersecurity measures including patching, antivirus, backups, and access controls
*Maintain IT documentation, asset registers, and support procedures
*Support cloud technologies and hybrid infrastructure environments
*Work with external suppliers and vendors where required
*Participate in IT projects including upgrades, migrations, and system deployments
*Adhering to all relevant ISO processes and policies
*The role also includes a number of other smaller administrative and coordination tasks
The Candidate:
*Previous experience in an IT Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role
Strong knowledge of:
*Windows Server environments
*Active Directory & Group Policy
*Microsoft 365 administration
*Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, switches, firewalls, VPNs)
*Virtualisation technologies
*Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
*Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
*Ability to prioritise workloads and work independently
*Strong work ethic
*Use of initiative
*Azure or AWS cloud experience
*Experience with cybersecurity tools and best practices
*PowerShell scripting knowledge
*Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, or Cisco
*Experience of Sage 200 would be desirable
*Experience of working within a factory setting would be an advantage
