We are looking for a motivated Electrical Engineer to join a growing engineering team based in Oldham. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in the design, installation, commissioning, and ongoing support of electrical control systems across a variety of industrial applications.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong electrical knowledge and hands-on experience in PLC programming, commissioning, and installation. Role Description
*PLC programming, modification, and fault-finding on a range of control systems
*Electrical installation and commissioning of industrial machinery and automated equipment
*Testing and validation of electrical control panels and systems
*Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults both on-site and remotely
*Supporting project delivery from design through to commissioning
*Producing and updating technical documentation where required
*Working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure successful project completion
*Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager
*Occasional travel to customer sites for commissioning and support activities
Skills & Qualifications
*Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer, Controls Engineer, or Automation Engineer
*Strong PLC programming experience (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, or similar)
*Proven commissioning and electrical installation experience
*Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
*Electrical Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND, or equivalent)
*Experience with industrial control panels and automation systems
*Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
*Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
*Full UK Driving Licence desirable
