The Opportunity
Our client is a well-established specialist in engineered solutions, supporting businesses across the automotive, motorsport, and industrial markets. They offer a complete project delivery service, managing every stage from initial concept and design through to production, installation, and ongoing support.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive new business acquisition through solution selling to develop strategic customer relationships and identify opportunities for revenue growth across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
*Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across target markets.
*Generate and manage a robust sales pipeline through networking, referrals, prospecting and lead generation activities.
*Build strong relationships with decision-makers, procurement teams and key stakeholders.
*Conduct customer meetings, presentations and product demonstrations.
*Prepare and present tailored quotations and commercial proposals.
*Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements.
*Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to successful order placement.
*Collaborate with internal design, production and operations teams to deliver exceptional customer solutions.
*Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
*Attend industry exhibitions, networking events and customer meetings.
The Candidate
*Sales background from the Automotive or Industrial supply sector (Desirable)
*Proven success within Business Development or Field Sales capacity.
*A track record of winning new business and exceeding sales targets.
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
*Experience building relationships with senior decision-makers.
*Strong commercial awareness and consultative selling skills.
*Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
*Full UK Driving License.
