About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Scrub Nurse / Theatre Practitioner to join a well-established, high-performing surgical team in Maidstone. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled theatre professional looking for a better work-life balance, with a structured days-only rota and no weekend night commitments.

You will play a key role within the operating theatre, supporting a wide range of surgical procedures, with a particular focus on orthopaedic and general surgery. As a senior team member, you will also contribute to maintaining high clinical standards, supporting junior staff, and ensuring efficient theatre operations.

Key Responsibilities *Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative care as part of the theatre team
*Scrub for a variety of procedures, particularly orthopaedic and general surgeries
*Support the Theatre Manager in the day-to-day running of the department
*Mentor and support junior staff and students
*Ensure adherence to clinical governance, infection control, and health & safety protocols
*Work collaboratively with consultants, anaesthetists, and wider MDT
Requirements *Registered Nurse (RGN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)
*Current NMC or HCPC registration
*Significant scrub experience within orthopaedic and/or general surgery
*Previous experience in a senior or leadership capacity is desirable
*Strong organisational and communication skills
*Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety
