Randstad Education is currently hiring adaptable Teaching Assistants (TAs) for long-term and day-to-day supply positions within local primary schools across the PR8 district. Help support the next generation while enjoying a flexible, rewarding work schedule.
Job LocationSouthport (PR8 Area - Ainsdale, Birkdale, Town Centre)
Salary / Pay Rate£14.25 per hour (Paid weekly via PAYE)
Job SummaryWe are looking for a reliable Teaching Assistant to work under the guidance of class teachers to support pupils’ learning in Key Stage 1 (KS1) or Key Stage 2 (KS2) classrooms. You will play a vital role in keeping students engaged, managing small group interventions, and fostering a positive workspace.
Key Responsibilities:*Delivering targeted literacy and numeracy support to small groups of students.
*Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation, marking support, and resource management.
*Promoting positive behaviour and keeping students focused on their daily tasks.
*Helping create an inclusive classroom atmosphere where every child feels confident.
Requirements & Qualifications:*Minimum Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or substantial experience in a similar educational role).
*Solid understanding of the primary school curriculum and basic classroom dynamics.
*Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
