Are you an ambitious part-qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant looking to build your reporting experience within a genuinely varied finance function?
Campbell Grove Talent are working with a well-known, distribution business based in Morley, South Leeds, who are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant.
This role sits at the heart of month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations, while also giving you exposure to fixed assets, intercompany accounting, and treasury support. You’ll join a large, busy finance team, where no two weeks look the same. It’s built for someone who enjoys variety, not one narrow specialism.
What you’ll be doing:
*Month-end accruals, prepayments, journals, bank reconciliations, FX postings, and variance commentary
*Fixed assets and capital accounting
*Intercompany accounting and reconciliations
*Lease accounting, including vehicle lease invoice coding and journal postings
*Customs duty compliance, acting as a finance contact for international trade queries
*Cover for cashflow reporting and daily banking processes
*Supporting statutory reporting, tax work, and audit documentation alongside the Finance Manager.
*Contributing to process improvement and ad-hoc finance projects
What you’ll bring:
*Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA
*Solid grounding in accounting principles, with month-end and reconciliation experience
*Strong Excel skills
*A high level of integrity and discretion with confidential financial information
*The organisational skills to juggle competing deadlines
*A collaborative, self-starting approach
This role offers real scope to develop and progress, ideal for someone early in their qualification journey who wants a well-rounded foundation across financial reporting.
