About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Accrington from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people by supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities
*Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
*Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and raise attainment
*Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including SEN
*Assist with behaviour management and create a positive learning environment
*Help prepare teaching resources and classroom materials
*Contribute to assessment, progress tracking, and record-keeping
*Support pupils socially and emotionally to help them achieve their full potential
About You
We are looking for someone who:
*Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
*Has experience working within a secondary school setting
*Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Is patient, adaptable, and committed to student success
*Has a proactive and positive approach to supporting learning
*Understands safeguarding responsibilities and child protection procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
