Job Description:
Full job descriptionA fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, expanding company, based to the west of Petersfield. An interesting role, reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for credit control, spotting systems issues, assisting with systems improvement and implementation.
Main duties include:
*Assuming company credit control duties, monitoring credit limits, reducing overall debt
*Liaising with clients to understand debt levels, suggesting improvements to existing systems
*Sending out reminders and statements, as well as working on the projects they have planned to automate this process
*Assisting with other elements of accounting such as purchase ledger, payroll etc as needed
The company has undertaken a number of significant changes to their accounting systems over the last year, including payroll migration, banking changes, reporting and accounts preparation. There will be a number of upcoming projects to get involved with including:
*Removal of expenses systems credit cards to be replaced with new software
*Automation of sales and purchase ledger duties / credit control reminders and statements
*Changes to Access database reporting
*Moving to 1 instance of Sage 50 to improve overall control and efficiency
This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, change implementation and improvements, and has experience working in SME environments. You will need a good knowledge of Sage & Excel. AAT qualification would be beneficial, and you will need a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping.
Due to rural location, you will need your own transport for this role.
