The Supply Register is currently recruiting for a Payroll Assistant to support the payroll team at Sunderland College’s Bede Campus. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented administrator looking to gain valuable experience within a busy and supportive education environment.
Starting as soon as possible, this full-time temporary assignment will run until the end of August and will play a key role in supporting payroll operations during a busy period.
The RoleAs a Payroll Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the payroll function, ensuring employee records and payroll information are processed accurately and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
*Assisting with the preparation and processing of payroll information

*Maintaining accurate employee records and payroll data

*Supporting payroll queries from employees and managers

*Processing timesheets and payroll-related documentation

*Ensuring data is entered accurately and in a timely manner

*Assisting with general administrative duties within the payroll team

*Supporting compliance with payroll procedures and regulations

What We’re Looking ForEssential:
*Previous administrative experience

*Strong attention to detail and accuracy

*Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications

*Excellent organisational and communication skills

*Ability to handle confidential information professionally

*A reliable and proactive approach to work

Desirable:
*Previous payroll experience

*Experience working with payroll systems

*Experience working within education or public sector environments
