Hybrid Working | Whole-of-Market Advice Firm | Clear Pathway to Financial Adviser
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior or Chartered Paraplanner to join a highly respected independent financial planning firm based in Marlow.
With a reputation built over more than 30 years, this established wealth management practice provides holistic, whole-of-market financial planning advice to high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners. The firm has built long-standing client relationships through exceptional service, technical excellence and a genuine commitment to delivering tailored financial planning solutions.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a technically strong Paraplanner who is looking to further develop their expertise while progressing towards a future Financial Adviser role.
This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious Paraplanner who enjoys client interaction, complex financial planning work and wants a clearly defined route into advice within a supportive and professional environment.
The Opportunity
Working closely with a Senior Financial Adviser, you will play a key role in the delivery of comprehensive financial planning solutions across pensions, investments, tax planning, retirement planning and estate planning.
You will gain increasing client exposure while supporting high-net-worth cases and developing the skills required to transition into an advisory position over time.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Attending client meetings alongside advisers and assisting with fact-finding and relationship management
• Preparing detailed suitability reports and financial planning recommendations
• Conducting technical research across pensions, investments, protection, tax planning and estate planning
• Researching products, providers and planning solutions to support client objectives
• Liaising with clients, providers and third parties to ensure smooth implementation of advice
• Supporting the design and delivery of holistic financial planning strategies
• Assisting with ongoing client reviews and servicing requirements
• Mentoring junior team members and sharing technical expertise where appropriate
• Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring compliance with FCA requirements
• Managing multiple cases effectively while maintaining high-quality standards
Requirements
• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning as a minimum
• Minimum 3-4 years’ Paraplanning experience within an independent financial planning or wealth management firm
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, retirement planning and tax planning
• Experience preparing suitability reports independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable participating in client meetings and client-facing activities
• Strong organisational and workload management abilities
• Genuine ambition to progress towards a Financial Adviser role
Highly Desirable
• Chartered Financial Planner status or actively working towards Chartered designation
• Experience supporting high-net-worth and complex client cases
• Previous mentoring or team leadership experience
What’s on Offer
• £50,000 - £65,000 basic salary depending on experience and qualifications
• Performance-related bonus scheme
• Hybrid working arrangement with office and home-based flexibility
• Structured pathway towards becoming a Financial Adviser
• Ongoing support towards Chartered Financial Planner status
• Exposure to complex and high-net-worth client cases
• Long-term career progression opportunities
• Supportive and collaborative team environment
• Opportunity to work within a highly respected independent financial planning firm
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
Many paraplanning opportunities offer technical development, but few provide a genuine route into advice.
This role combines exposure to sophisticated financial planning work, direct client interaction and a clearly defined adviser progression plan within an established and highly respected independent practice.
For an experienced Paraplanner looking to elevate their career, broaden their client exposure and work towards becoming a Financial Adviser, this opportunity offers an exceptional platform for long-term success.
