1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Garstang (KS2 Experience Essential)Location: Garstang, Lancashire


The RoleWe are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within a primary school setting in Garstang. This role involves working closely with a child in Key Stage 2, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum and thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities*Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs
*Assist in delivering targeted interventions and differentiated learning
*Support the pupil’s emotional regulation and behaviour management
*Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
*Monitor progress and contribute to reports and reviews
*Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Requirements*Experience working within Key Stage 2 (essential)
*Previous experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties)
*Strong behaviour management skills and a patient, nurturing approach
*Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
*Relevant qualifications (e.g. TA Level 2/3) are desirable but not essential
