Chartered Financial Planning Firm | Structured Adviser Training Programme | Clear Route to Financial Advice
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Paraplanner who is ready to take the next step towards becoming a Financial Adviser.
Bluesky Chartered Financial Planners are a highly respected independent Chartered Financial Planning firm, providing tailored financial advice to individuals, families and business owners. With a reputation built on technical excellence, exceptional client service and long-term relationships, they continue to grow and invest in the development of their people.
This is not a traditional paraplanning role. Instead, it has been specifically designed for a technically capable Paraplanner who has aspirations of becoming a Financial Adviser and wants a structured, supported pathway into advice.
Working closely with experienced advisers, you will initially utilise your technical expertise to support the advice process while gradually increasing your client exposure, advisory responsibilities and ultimately progressing towards managing your own client relationships.
The Opportunity
This role provides a genuine transition from Paraplanner to Financial Adviser within a supportive and professional environment.
You will receive direct mentoring from experienced advisers, exposure to client meetings and a clearly defined development plan designed to help you achieve Competent Adviser Status and build a successful career in financial advice.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Preparing high-quality suitability reports and recommendations based on adviser meeting notes and client objectives
• Conducting technical research across pensions, investments, retirement planning, protection and tax planning strategies
• Supporting advisers with the development and delivery of financial planning recommendations
• Attending client meetings alongside experienced advisers and gradually increasing your client-facing responsibilities
• Assisting with fact-finding, annual reviews and ongoing client servicing activities
• Analysing client objectives, portfolios, risk profiles and financial planning requirements
• Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring compliance with FCA requirements
• Liaising with providers and third parties to obtain technical information and policy details
• Supporting new business opportunities and identifying planning opportunities within existing client relationships
• Progressing towards managing your own clients as part of a structured development programme
Requirements
• Previous experience as a Paraplanner within an IFA or Wealth Management firm
• Level 4 Diploma qualified or very close to completion
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and financial planning
• Experience writing suitability reports independently
• Genuine ambition to become a Financial Adviser
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Professional, proactive and career-focused approach
What’s on Offer
• £45,000 - £60,000 basic salary depending on experience
• Bonus scheme
• Clear and structured pathway into a Financial Adviser role
• Mentoring and coaching from experienced Financial Advisers
• Opportunity to inherit and build a client bank over time
• Hybrid working and flexible working arrangements
• Ongoing support towards further qualifications and Chartered status
• Exposure to quality clients and holistic financial planning
• Long-term career progression within a Chartered Financial Planning firm
• Supportive and collaborative team culture
Why This Role Stands Out
Many firms talk about adviser progression, but few offer a genuine, structured pathway. This opportunity has been specifically created for a Paraplanner who wants to move into advice the right way—with training, mentoring, client exposure and a clearly defined development plan.
If you’re enjoying the technical side of financial planning but are ready to build client relationships, deliver advice and develop your own client bank in the future, this role provides the ideal platform to make that transition successfully.
