We are seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance Operative to support the upkeep of this distinctive property and its grounds. This is a varied, hands-on position suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining both the functionality and character of a building.
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, basic electrical work, carpentry, and decorating
*Ensure the building, facilities, and grounds are safe, secure, and well-maintained
*Maintain outdoor areas and gardens, contributing to a calm and therapeutic environment
*Conduct routine inspections and ensure compliance with health & safety standards
*Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff
*Coordinate with external contractors when required
*Support the upkeep of communal areas and shared spaces
About You
*Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role
*Practical skills across a range of trades
*Good knowledge of health & safety regulations
*Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
*Reliable, organised, and proactive
*Comfortable working within a care environment and interacting respectfully with residents and staff
