This is a challenging and technically focused role working closely with a highly experienced Financial Adviser who has an established client bank of approximately £80m AUM, including a significant proportion of high-net-worth clients. The client base is primarily focused on pensions, investments and protection, with an average client size of around £800k.

The Opportunity
You will work directly with an established Financial Adviser, taking responsibility for full paraplanning and case management from initial fact-find through to implementation and ongoing review work.
This is a hands-on, detail-driven role requiring strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Writing suitability reports for new business and annual client reviews
• Conducting product, fund and platform research using tools such as FE Analytics, Defaqto and Select a Pension
• Liaising with product providers to obtain policy information and ensure smooth case progression
• Managing and maintaining accurate records of pipeline, submitted and ongoing business
• Taking ownership of cases from initial client agreement through to final implementation
• Working with compliance and business quality teams to ensure cases are approved and compliant
• Producing client valuations and review documentation in a timely manner
• Coordinating and managing annual client review processes
• Working closely with administration teams to deliver full end-to-end client servicing
• Updating and maintaining accurate records on back-office systems (Gateway)
• Submitting new business across provider and internal systems
• Monitoring trail commission and ensuring accurate fee reconciliation
• Handling client invoicing for new and ongoing advisory fees
• Processing fund switches and policy servicing instructions
• Supporting general administrative and technical duties as required
Requirements
• Diploma qualified (Level 4) in Regulated Financial Planning (essential)
• Previous experience within a Financial Planning or IFA paraplanning role
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and protection
• Experience writing suitability reports independently
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Confident working directly with advisers, clients and providers
• Ideally working towards Chartered status or with long-term ambition to do so
What’s on Offer
• Salary up to £55,000 depending on experience
• Discretionary bonus
• Full study support (including exam support and funding)
• 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays + birthday off
• Pension contributions
• Death in Service (4x salary)
• Hybrid working (4 days office / 1 day home post-probation)
• Structured 6-month probation with 1-week notice during probation and 3 months thereafter
• Supportive and professional working environment within a Chartered firm
• Long-term career development and progression opportunities
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This is a highly technical and client-focused paraplanning role within a well-established Chartered financial planning business.
You will gain direct exposure to an experienced high-AUM adviser, complex client work and full end-to-end case responsibility, making this an excellent opportunity for a Paraplanner who wants depth, ownership and long-term stability within a respected firm.
