Contract: Full-Time | Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join a highly supportive specialist school in North West London from September.
This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people with a range of complex special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), moderate to severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), speech and language needs, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and complex medical needs.
We are looking for compassionate, resilient, and proactive individuals who have a genuine passion for helping pupils develop independence, communication skills, and confidence within a specialist educational environment.
The Role:
*Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups throughout the school day
*Assisting with personalised learning programmes tailored to individual needs
*Supporting pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
*Working alongside teachers, therapists, and other specialist professionals
*Assisting with personal care where required
*Supporting pupils with sensory needs and helping to create a positive learning environment
*Encouraging independence and celebrating individual achievements
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*Previous experience working with children or young people with complex SEN
*Experience supporting pupils with autism, severe learning difficulties, PMLD, or communication needs
*A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Confidence supporting pupils with additional physical, sensory, or medical needs
*A willingness to assist with personal care if required
*Availability to work full-time from September
