Established Client Bank | Strong Internal Lead Generation | High-Quality HNW Clients
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Independent Financial Adviser to join a well-established financial planning business based in London.
This is a rare opportunity to inherit a high-quality client bank while also benefiting from a strong internal marketing function that generates consistent new business opportunities. The firm is seeking an adviser who is confident managing both existing relationships and developing new client opportunities in a balanced, structured environment.
You will be taking on a proportion of an established client base, supported by a full paraplanning and administration team, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality financial advice and building long-term relationships.
The client base consists of high-quality private clients, typically segmented across:
• £250,000 – £500,000
• £500,000 – £1,000,000
• £1,000,000+
This provides an excellent platform for an adviser looking to work with established wealth while continuing to grow their own book over time.
The Opportunity
This role offers a balanced mix of business development and ongoing client servicing, with responsibilities split approximately:
• 50% New Business Development
• 50% Client Maintenance & Relationship Management
You will be supported by a strong infrastructure, including dedicated paraplanning, administration and a proactive internal marketing team that provides regular inbound lead opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing and developing an existing portfolio of high-net-worth clients
• Delivering holistic financial planning advice across pensions, investments, retirement and protection
• Building and maintaining long-term client relationships
• Developing new business through internal marketing-generated leads
• Attending client meetings across London and surrounding areas
• Identifying and implementing planning opportunities to grow AUM
• Working closely with paraplanning and administrative teams to deliver a seamless client experience
• Ensuring all advice meets FCA regulatory and compliance standards
• Maintaining accurate client records and ongoing review processes
• Contributing to the continued growth of the London client base
Requirements
• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (essential)
• Proven experience as a Financial Adviser / Independent Financial Adviser
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and holistic financial planning
• Comfortable managing both existing clients and new business opportunities
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Commercial mindset with a focus on sustainable AUM growth
• CAS status preferred but not essential
What’s on Offer
• Competitive basic salary (dependent on experience)
• Bonus structure linked to performance and AUM growth
• Established client bank provided from day one
• Strong internal lead generation from dedicated marketing function
• Full paraplanning and administrative support
• Balanced 50/50 split between new business and servicing
• High-quality HNW client base across £250k – £1m+ segments
• Long-term career progression within a growing advisory business
• London-based role with flexibility available
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This is an excellent opportunity for an adviser seeking a genuine balance between servicing an established client bank and developing new business in a structured, supported environment.
