Overview
We are seeking experienced Break/Fix Engineers to support a laptop refurbishment project. This role involves diagnosing hardware faults, disassembling laptops, replacing components, and ensuring devices are returned to full working order.
Key Responsibilities
*Disassemble and reassemble laptops safely and efficiently
*Replace faulty keyboards, SSDs/HDDs, batteries, and other components
*Diagnose basic hardware faults
*Perform functional testing following repairs
*Maintain accurate repair and asset records
*Follow ESD and health & safety procedures
Essential Skills
*Previous experience in laptop repair, refurbishment, or break/fix engineering
*Confident working with a range of laptop manufacturers
*Experience replacing keyboards, storage drives, batteries, and other internal components
*Good attention to detail and ability to work to productivity targets
*Strong understanding of hardware handling and ESD practices
Desirable Skills
*Experience with enterprise laptop fleets (Dell, HP, Lenovo)
*Asset management or imaging experience
*IT hardware certification(s)
