As a Psychology Teacher, you will deliver engaging and academically rigorous lessons that encourage students to explore key psychological concepts, research methods, and real-world applications. You will support learners in developing critical thinking, analytical skills, and scientific understanding of behaviour.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan and deliver high-quality Psychology lessons in line with GCSE and A-Level specifications
*Teach topics such as cognitive psychology, social influence, memory, development, and psychopathology
*Introduce research methods, data analysis, and evaluation skills
*Support students in developing essay writing and exam techniques
*Assess, track, and report on student progress
*Contribute to curriculum development within the department
*Support enrichment activities such as revision workshops or psychology clubs
About You
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable but not always essential for sixth form)
*Degree in Psychology or related subject
*Strong understanding of psychological theories and research
*Ability to make complex concepts engaging and accessible
*Strong classroom management and communication skills
*Commitment to safeguarding and student well being
*Willingness to contribute to wider school and sixth form life
