Full job descriptionThe Senior Technical Accountant will be responsible for managing technical accounting matters, financial reporting, and compliance within the Technology & Telecoms industry. *Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
*Manage technical accounting issues, including revenue recognition and lease accounting.
*Provide strategic advice on accounting policies and their implications for the business.
*Support the implementation of new accounting standards and ensure compliance.
*Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting.
*Assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and insights.
*Develop and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
*Mentor and guide junior finance team members as required.
Profile
A successful Senior Technical Accountant should have:
*A recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
*Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in IFRS or UK GAAP.
*Experience in financial reporting and compliance within the Technology & Telecoms industry.
*Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
*The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
