The Role
As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be involved in a wide range of projects, taking responsibility for technical assessments and geotechnical design work. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
*Geotechnical interpretation of ground investigation data
*Foundation design and recommendations
*Slope stability and earthworks assessments
*Retaining wall design and analysis
*Geotechnical reporting and technical documentation
*Preparation of design calculations and specifications
*Liaising with clients, contractors, and project teams
*Supporting junior engineers and contributing to project delivery
Requirements
*Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
*Experience within a geotechnical consultancy or engineering environment
*Strong understanding of geotechnical design principles
*Experience using geotechnical software packages
*Excellent report writing and communication skills
*Full UK driving licence
