Salary: MPS - UPS (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full Time - 1 Year via SANZA (with opportunity to go permanent after 1 year)
Start Date: September 2026
SANZA Teaching Agency are working in partnership with a 2-form entry Catholic infant school who are seeking an experienced Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Key Stage 2 practitioner to take on a Year 6 class within a supportive school environment that places strong emphasis on both academic achievement and pastoral care. The role will initially be offered as a 1-year contract through the agency, with an opportunity to become a permanent member of staff following successful completion of the year.
The school is currently entering an exciting new chapter, with a newly appointed Deputy Headteacher who has recently taken over leadership. This brings a fresh vision, renewed energy, and a clear opportunity for staff to help shape the direction of the school moving forward. It is an excellent time to join and make a meaningful impact within a developing and ambitious leadership structure.

The Role
The school are seeking a confident Year 6 Teacher who can take full responsibility for a class and deliver high-quality teaching across the KS2 curriculum.
Responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons across the Year 6 curriculum
* Taking full responsibility for class teaching, planning, marking and assessment
* Monitoring pupil progress and implementing targeted interventions where required
* Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, learning and achievement
* Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
* Preparing pupils effectively for transition to secondary school
* Working collaboratively with colleagues across the school
* Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Previous experience teaching Year 6 (essential)
* Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum
* Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
* Ability to plan, assess and differentiate effectively
* A proactive, positive and committed approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for primary education and pupil progress
