Full job descriptionAre you looking to start your career in Accounting and Finance? Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking firm of Accountants based in Harrow, is currently seeking a Bookkeeping Apprentice to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised qualification.
The Role: As a Bookkeeping Apprentice, you will support the accounts team in delivering high-quality bookkeeping services to a diverse portfolio of clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience while studying towards an AAT qualification or similar.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing sales and purchase invoices
Bank reconciliations
Preparing and maintaining financial records
Assisting with VAT returns
Supporting month-end procedures
Liaising with clients to collect relevant documentation
Ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A genuine interest in pursuing a career in accounting
GCSEs including Maths and English (B or above)
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
