Our client is looking for an experienced Auto Electrical / Plant Fitter to join their team. The role involves carrying out repairs, maintenance and electrical installations on heavy plant, road rail vehicles and associated equipment.
Auto Electrical / Plant Fitter - Position Overview
*Carry out repairs, servicing and maintenance on heavy plant and road rail vehicles.
*Install wiring looms and electrical components.
*Diagnose and rectify electrical faults.
*Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and schematics.
*Build and assemble mechanical components.
*Use hand tools and equipment to a high standard.
*Work both at the depot and customer sites as required.
*Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety procedures.


Auto Electrical / Plant Fitter - Position Requirements
*Strong electrical and mechanical background.
*Previous fitting and assembly experience.
*Experience working on heavy plant, HGV, quarry, waste, mining or similar equipment (car experience only is not suitable).
*Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
*Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
*Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
*Good communication skills and a strong team ethic.
*NVQ Level 3 in Auto Electrical Engineering or equivalent would be advantageous.
*Auto Electrical apprenticeship desirable.
*Full UK Driving Licence required.
Auto Electrical / Plant Fitter - Position Remuneration
*£20.00 - £22.00 per hour (dependent on experience).
*Full-time, permanent position.
