Full job descriptionAbout the RoleWe are seeking compassionate and highly skilled Forensic Nurse Examiners to join specialist services providing care to individuals who have experienced sexual assault. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver trauma-informed clinical care while undertaking forensic medical examinations and supporting the collection and preservation of forensic evidence.

Key Responsibilities*Conduct forensic medical examinations in accordance with national guidelines and local protocols.
*Collect, document and preserve forensic evidence accurately and securely.
*Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care with sensitivity and professionalism.
*Assess and document injuries and relevant clinical findings.
*Provide safeguarding support and make appropriate referrals where necessary.
*Offer advice and treatment relating to sexual health, emergency contraception and follow-up care where appropriate.
*Maintain comprehensive and accurate clinical records.
*Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, police and other partner agencies while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Requirements*Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
*Previous experience in forensic nursing, sexual assault services, emergency care or a related specialty.
*Training or experience in forensic evidence collection is desirable.
*Excellent communication and documentation skills.
*Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and trauma-informed practice.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
*Enhanced DBS clearance and compliance with relevant employment checks.
