Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday (8:30am–5:00pm)
Contract: Permanent
About the SchoolWe are recruiting on behalf of a highly specialist independent day school that supports students aged 6 to 19 with a range of needs, including:
*Moderate & Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD & SLD)
*Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
*ADHD and associated challenges
Many students also have:
*Complex medical needs
*Sensory and/or physical impairments
The school provides a nurturing, therapeutic and well-resourced environment, with excellent facilities and a dedicated therapy team. Students are supported with challenges such as sensory overload, anxiety, low confidence, and transitions - often expressed through behaviour.
The OpportunityDue to continued growth, the school is looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist team, helping to improve outcomes and life chances for young people as they prepare for adulthood.
Key Responsibilities*Support students’ learning, development and progress across the curriculum
*Work in varied settings including the classroom, local environment & community
*Assist students with complex needs, autism, and medical conditions
*Promote equality, diversity, and respect for all learners
*Empower young people to achieve their educational and personal goals
*Deliver high-quality support in all aspects of the role
*Participate in personal care and physical intervention where required
*Adapt to a varied and hands-on role
