About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Investments in shaping and delivering investment strategy. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for overseeing investment performance, governance, asset manager relationships, and strategic asset allocation across a diversified portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Strategy & Portfolio Oversight
*Support the development and ongoing evolution of investment strategy aligned to corporate objectives and risk appetite.
*Contribute to Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA), Tactical Asset Allocation (TAA), and portfolio risk management decisions.
*Identify and assess new investment opportunities across asset classes.
*Support the integration of climate risk and ESG considerations into investment decision-making.
Investment Governance & Performance
*Lead oversight of investment manager performance, compliance, and service delivery.
*Drive continuous improvement in investment governance, reporting, and operational effectiveness.
*Monitor portfolio alignment with key risk metrics, including credit and liquidity risk.
*Prepare and present investment performance reporting to senior executives, committees, and Board stakeholders.
Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement
*Partner closely with actuarial, finance, risk, and accounting teams to ensure alignment between investment strategy and business objectives.
*Support engagement with Executive Management and Non-Executive Directors on investment matters.
Requirement
*Experience in investment strategy, portfolio management, or institutional investing for insurance market. Strong understanding of fixed income and equity markets.
*Knowledge of insurance investment principles, regulation, and asset-liability management. Lloyds market experiences is essential
*CFA or equivalent professional qualification (or comparable experience).
*Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across a small, high-performing team.
*Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
