OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop in Brighton. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a range of vehicles to the highest standards while delivering excellent customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities*Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on customer vehicles.
*Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
*Complete repairs efficiently and accurately in line with manufacturer specifications.
*Perform vehicle inspections and identify additional work required.
*Conduct vehicle health checks and prepare reports.
*Ensure all work is completed to health and safety standards.
*Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
*Support colleagues and contribute to a productive workshop environment.
Essential Requirements*NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3, or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
*Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or Automotive Technician.
*Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
*Full UK driving licence.
*Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
*Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Desirable Requirements*MOT Tester licence.
*Experience with manufacturer diagnostic systems.
*Hybrid and electric vehicle qualifications.
*Main dealership experience.
Skills & Competencies*Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems.
*Excellent problem-solving abilities.
*Good communication and teamwork skills.
*Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
*Customer-focused approach.
