Full job descriptionWe are currently looking for a Commercial Account Handler to join a professional and welcoming team based in Maidstone. In this role, you will support Account Executives and the Managing Director with their portfolios, MTA, Renewals, New Business and attend client meetings, and further develop your expertise in commercial insurance with one of the UK’s leading insurance brokers.
The team delivers high-quality, specialist insurance solutions to commercial clients across the UK. Our continued success is built on achieving exceptional levels of customer satisfaction and retention through tailored advice, technical expertise, and a commitment to building long-term client relationships.


You will:
*Support Account Executives in the day-to-day management and servicing of commercial insurance portfolios
*Manage 30 renewals per month, ensuring a high level of service and retention
*Handle mid-term adjustments, renewals, and general policy administration accurately and efficiently.
*Liaise with insurers to obtain quotations, negotiate terms, and secure competitive cover for clients
*Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurer partners
*Provide technical insurance advice and guidance across a wide range of commercial risks
*Prepare and issue policy documentation in line with regulatory and company standards
*Identify opportunities to cross-sell and develop existing accounts where appropriate
*Deliver exceptional customer service in line with company values and regulatory requirements
*Conduct renewal discussions and service smaller accounts
*Attend client meetings alongside Account Executives for larger and locally based clients, supporting relationship management, renewals, and insurance programme reviews
*Assist Account Executives in presenting insurance solutions and ensuring clients receive tailored advice and ongoing support
*Maintain accurate records and update information using internal systems, including Acturis where applicable


About You
*knowledge of commercial insurance products
*Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
*Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
