About my client
They are an independent, award-winning estate and letting agency established in 1992. Their reputation is built on exceptional customer care, attention to detail and an emotionally committed approach to every client journey.
Their directors remain actively involved in the day-to-day running of the business, providing hands-on support and leadership across the company. They are proud to be recognised amongst the top 5% of estate agents nationally and have earned multiple industry awards for their service, marketing and results.
As a business, they believe their people are their greatest asset. They invest in training, development, technology and support to help every team member build a successful and rewarding career. Many of their team have built long-term careers reflecting the supportive culture and opportunities for development they provide.
The Opportunity
They are looking for an organised, proactive and customer-focused Property Manager to join their growing lettings team.
Property management is at the heart of the service they provide to their landlords and tenants. The role requires someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, takes pride in solving problems and understands the importance of clear communication and attention to detail.
Through regular communication, detailed inspections and proactive management, you will help landlords protect their investments, support tenants throughout their tenancy and contribute to the long-term relationships that have become their hallmark.
Key Responsibilities
You will oversee the day-to-day management of a portfolio of residential properties, acting as the main point of contact for landlords, tenants and contractors throughout the tenancy lifecycle.
You will coordinate maintenance works, obtain quotations, instruct contractors and ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
You will conduct regular property visits and mid-term inspections, producing detailed reports and identifying any maintenance, compliance or tenancy issues at an early stage.
You will maintain accurate records and provide landlords with clear, evidence-based advice to help protect and enhance their investment.
A key part of the role will be ensuring properties remain compliant with all relevant lettings legislation and regulatory requirements.
You will proactively monitor compliance obligations, support landlords with their responsibilities and keep up to date with legislative changes and industry best practice within the private rented sector.
You will work closely with their Lettings and New Lets teams to ensure a smooth transition between tenancies, minimise void periods and deliver a seamless experience for both landlords and tenants.
This collaborative approach is central to maintaining the high levels of service and communication for which they are known for.
You will also oversee tenancy rent review documentation, landlord and tenant communication, issue resolution and the coordination of tenancy check-outs and deposit matters where required, delivering a proactive management service that focuses on prevention rather than reaction.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous property management experience
A strong understanding of residential lettings legislation, including the new Renters Rights Act and compliance requirements
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Strong organisational and time management abilities
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
A proactive and solutions-focused approach
Confidence managing multiple priorities simultaneously
The ability to remain calm and professional when handling challenging situations
A willingness to continually develop knowledge of changing legislation and industry best practice
Confident learning and using property management software and digital systems
A full, clean UK driving licence
Culture & Values
Their values guide everything they do.
They are emotionally committed to achieving successful outcomes for their clients. They are accountable, detailed and professional in their work, whilst maintaining a friendly and approachable culture.
They believe in teamwork, continuous improvement and treating people with honesty and respect.
The people who thrive there are those who genuinely care about the service they provide, enjoy working collaboratively and take pride in doing things properly.
