Job Title: HV Design Engineer
Location: Hybrid – 3 days per week in Surrey
Salary: Up to £50,000

About the Role
We’re looking for a HV Design Engineer to support the design and adoption of LV and HV electricity networks, with a particular focus on distributed generation and grid connections. You’ll work closely with customers, developers, DNOs and internal teams to deliver safe, compliant and efficient network solutions.
Key Responsibilities
*Design and assess LV/HV electricity networks.
*Carry out network impact studies including voltage rise, ELI, thermal loading and fault level assessments.
*Support generation and grid connection applications.
*Liaise with DNOs, ICPs, developers and customers.
*Ensure compliance with G99, G100 and industry standards.
*Manage technical submissions and connection approvals.
*Support project delivery and maintain accurate project records.
Requirements
Essential
*Experience in electricity network design (LV/HV).
*Knowledge of distributed generation and grid connections.
*Experience using WinDebut, IPSA, VisNet or similar software.
*Understanding of G99/G100 requirements.
*Ability to perform network studies and technical assessments.
*Good CAD and Microsoft Office skills.
*Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Desirable
*Experience with solar PV, wind, CHP or other renewable technologies.
*Background within a DNO, IDNO, ICP or utility environment.
*Exposure to EHV networks.
