Looking for a role where organisation meets opportunity?
I’m partnering with a highly respected and growing organisation within the wholesale and supply sector to find an enthusiastic and detail-focused Buying Assistant to join their commercial team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and loves being at the heart of a busy team. If you’re someone who can juggle multiple priorities, build great relationships, and keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes, this could be the perfect role for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Buying Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Buying and Business Support teams, ensuring information is accurate, up to date, and delivered on time.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Maintaining product, pricing, supplier, and promotional information within internal systems
Supporting supplier administration, including price changes, forecasts, and supply updates
Assisting with newsletters, promotions, trading documents, and member communications
Monitoring product performance and maintaining reporting schedules
Building strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and business members
Supporting tender processes, contracts, compliance documentation, and approval workflows
Coordinating travel arrangements, meetings, and key business events
Providing essential administrative support across a variety of commercial projects
No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and taking ownership of their workload in an administration focused role.
What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to hear from candidates who have:
At least 2 years’ commercial administration experience
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Confidence using Microsoft Office applications
Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels
A proactive, positive, and flexible approach to work
A full, clean UK driving licence
Experience within buying, procurement, wholesale, retail, or commercial support environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
You’ll Thrive Here If You Are...
Organised and able to manage multiple deadlines
A natural problem-solver who enjoys finding solutions
Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
Passionate about delivering high standards
A team player who enjoys collaborating with others
Adaptable and open to new ideas and ways of working
What’s In It For You?
The opportunity to join a successful and growing business
A supportive and collaborative team environment
Exposure to commercial buying and procurement activities
Career development and progression opportunities
Hybrid working options
Regular involvement in projects, events, and business initiatives
A varied role where your contribution genuinely matters
