Are you an experienced and confident Credit Controller looking to join a successful SME? This is a key role within a small, close-knit finance function, responsible for proactively managing customer accounts, controlling aged debt, and supporting healthy cash flow through the timely collection of outstanding invoices.
The role requires a resilient, tenacious individual who is confident communicating by phone, comfortable handling challenging conversations, and able to build strong working relationships with both customers and internal colleagues.

What will you do as a Credit Controller?
*Proactively manage a portfolio of approximately 200 active customers
*Chase overdue accounts, particularly those over credit limits and aged invoices
*Regular telephone contact with customers to ensure timely payment
*Allocation of incoming payments and maintenance of accurate account records
*Production and review of aged debtor reports
*Liaising closely with the sales team regarding customer accounts and payment issues
What do you need as a Credit Controller?
*Previous experience in Credit Control is essential
*Confident and resilient communicator, particularly over the phone
*Experience managing difficult or slow-paying customers
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume ledger
*Experience with Sage 50 desirable
