Job Description:
Full job descriptionProject Engineer (BMS)
Location: Kent - site-based (with local office attendance as required)
This role is responsible for managing Building Management System (BMS) projects from design through to commissioning and handover, keeping delivery safe, on programme, and commercially on track.
*Manage BMS projects end-to-end: design, procurement, install support, commissioning and handover
*Own project documentation: technical submittals, progress updates, commissioning reports and O&M manuals
*Produce control system deliverables (e.g., panel drawings, valve schedules, descriptions of operation, DDC strategy, graphics detail)
*Coordinate electricians and subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant installation and commissioning
*Maintain RAMS and promote strong site safety standards throughout the project
*Carry out commissioning: wiring/plant checks, protective device verification/settings, functional testing, controller and graphics validation
*Keep accurate records in a cloud project/construction management platform (e.g., Procore) and flag any risks to programme
Essential:
Minimum 1 year post-apprenticeship experience; strong communication, organisation, IT skills, and a quality-first approach.
Desirable: BCIA Technical Certificate (or HND/HNC/ONC/electrical quals), CITB SSSTS, safe isolation course completed within the last 3 years.
