Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Sheffield to recruit a Bench Joiner/ Pattern Maker to join their skilled Patterns team.
With over 20 years of industry experience, our client delivers high-quality products across a diverse range of sectors, including foundry, automotive, construction, and large-scale themed projects. Working Hours:
*Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 4:15pm
*Friday: Optional overtime available
The Role
As a Bench Joiner/ Pattern Maker, you will work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, producing bespoke patterns, moulds, jigs, and themed products to customer specifications. This is a varied role requiring excellent attention to detail, strong practical skills, and the ability to work from technical drawings and build plans.
Key Responsibilities:
*Construct patterns, moulds, and bespoke components from wood and composite materials
*Assemble products from technical drawings, build plans, and CAD-generated assembly instructions
*Carry out repairs and modifications to existing customer products
*Finish CNC-machined components to a high standard
*Apply paints, sealants, and finishing materials where required
*Inspect completed products to ensure quality and accuracy
*Work closely with the CAD/CAM team to ensure products meet customer specifications
*Prepare and package finished products for dispatch
*Assist with stock control and notify management of material shortages
*Maintain accurate job time records
*Ensure work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe
*Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and company procedures
*Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency
About You
We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual with strong bench joinery skills and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Essential Requirements:
*Previous experience as a Bench Joiner, Woodworker, Cabinet Maker, Pattern Maker, or similar
*Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
*Ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications
*Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
*Good communication skills
*Reliable with excellent attendance and timekeeping
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills:
*Experience working with GRP or fibreglass materials
*Experience operating woodworking machinery such as band saws, circular saws, and sanders
