Location: Milton Keynes
Locum Rates: £15 - £22 per hour including holiday pay
Contract Type: Locum
Are you an experienced and passionate Residential Support Worker? An established Residential Childcare Provider is seeking a Residential Support Worker for their homes (2-4 beds) in Milton Keynes.
About the Role:
As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll be playing a key role in supporting children and young people with Learning Disabilities, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
*Providing personalised care and support for children and young people with additional needs, and assisting with implementing care plans
*Encouraging and facilitating the development of independence and life skills, and supporting their learning and development both in education and more widely
*Maintaining a safe and clean environment and following all health and safety protocols.
*Responding to any crisis situations calmly, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents
*Some Working Nights may be required
Requirements:
*Experience working with Children and Young People Essential
*Experience with high challenging behaviours
*Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) beneficial
*Caring, Empathetic and patient nature, with excellent communication and commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.
*Driving Essential
*Flexibility in working hours- evenings weekends and some waking nights needed
