Job Description:
Full job descriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a well-established, international law firm based in London.
Working within a collaborative team you will play a key role in delivering high-quality reporting, supporting business decision-making, and contributing to the continuous improvement of finance processes.
This position offers broad exposure across financial reporting, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Produce monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis
*Support month-end and year-end close processes
*Prepare balance sheet reconciliations (including intercompany, accruals, prepayments, and other key accounts)
*Deliver KPI and headcount reporting, investigating variances against budget
*Review and analyse overhead expenditure, working with budget holders to understand trends
*Assist with the annual budgeting process and forecasting activities
*Maintain and support financial systems, reporting tools, and data integrity
*Support the audit process and other compliance requirements
*Collaborate with finance teams and non-finance stakeholders across the business
*Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc financial projects
About You
*Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA)
*Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
*Strong understanding of management accounting and financial processes
*Comfortable working with large datasets and financial systems
*Advanced Excel skills and strong IT proficiency
*Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage non-finance stakeholders
*High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
*Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Desirable:
*Experience in a professional services or legal environment
*Familiarity with ERP or financial systems (e.g. general ledger/reporting tools)
