About the Role
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and inspiring Year 4 Teacher for a thriving 1-form entry primary school in Wigan. This full-time position is to cover a 7-month maternity leave starting in September 2026.
As the sole teacher for Year 4 in this close-knit 1-form entry school, you will have the unique opportunity to truly get to know your pupils, build strong relationships with families, and make a lasting impact on the children’s learning journey.

Key Responsibilities

Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

Collaborate with teaching assistants and the wider KS2 team to support diverse learning needs.
Maintain excellent communication with parents, carers, and school leadership.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (experience in Year 4 is an advantage but not essential).
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire young learners.
A proactive, flexible, and team-player attitude, suited to a 1-form entry school setting.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or the willingness to apply for a new one through Tradewind).
