People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Retail Assistant – Solihull to join our well-established client based in Solihull.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing work, full training, and the chance to work within a friendly and supportive retail environment.
This role would suit candidates with experience as a Retail Assistant, Shop Assistant, Customer Assistant, Store Assistant, Retail Operative, or Warehouse Assistant.
Shifts
• Rota-based working pattern
• 5 days out of 7
• 09:00 – 17:30
Rates of Pay
• £12.71 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
As a Retail Assistant, your duties will include:
• Working within a fast-paced retail environment
• Re-labelling stock accurately
• Stocking shelves and maintaining product displays
• Merchandising stock to company standards
• Interacting with customers and providing excellent customer service
• Lifting and moving stock, including plant pots and other heavy items
• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
• Supporting other areas of the store as required
Essential Skills
The essential skills required to be a Retail Assistant include:
• Ability to carry out manual tasks, including lifting and moving materials
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A team-focused approach with the ability to work collaboratively
• A positive and reliable attitude towards work
• Flexibility to work a rota-based shift pattern
Desirable Experience
• Previous experience within a retail or warehouse environment
• Availability to start work as soon as possible
• Own transport to travel to and from site
• Good level of spoken and written English
Training Provided
• Company policy and procedure training provided to successful candidates
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
