Full job descriptionThe Recruitment Crowd is currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Southampton area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.
Hours: Friday to Monday
Night start times -
20:00pm
22:00pm
02:00am
Day start times -
04:30am
07:00am
12:00pm
Pay Rate:
Nights - £17.23 per hour PAYE
Days - £15.11 per hour PAYE
Location: Southampton, SO16 9JX
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent employment for the right candidate.
The role:
· Working set shifts with a rota planned in advance
· Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
. Some deliveries/ returns from addresses
· Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
· Drivers will be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
· Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
· Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
· Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
· No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
· Full understanding of WTD legislation.
· Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
· Excellent communication skills.
· A safety-first mindset.
