Full job descriptionOur client, a highly successful and well-established independent estate agency in South East London, is looking to appoint an ambitious and driven Lettings Manager to lead and grow their busy lettings department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Lettings Manager or a high-performing Senior Lettings Negotiator/Lister looking to take the next step in their career with a respected independent agency that has built a strong reputation within its local market.

The business enjoys a healthy mix of repeat and referral business, a substantial managed portfolio, and an excellent market presence. They are now seeking a commercially focused leader who can drive performance, develop the team, and continue the department’s growth.

The Opportunity As Lettings Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the lettings department, overseeing new business generation, landlord relationships, team performance, and revenue growth.
You will work closely with the Directors to develop and execute the department’s strategy while ensuring exceptional service standards are maintained throughout the customer journey.

This role offers genuine autonomy and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the future success of the business.

Key Responsibilities *Lead, motivate, and develop the lettings team to achieve and exceed targets.
*Drive new landlord instructions and portfolio growth.
*Conduct market appraisals and secure new business opportunities.
*Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, investors, and applicants.
*Monitor departmental performance and report on key KPIs.
*Ensure the team delivers exceptional customer service at every stage of the lettings process.
*Support negotiators in progressing deals and overcoming challenges.
*Work closely with the Property Management team to ensure a seamless client experience.
*Ensure compliance with all current lettings legislation and company procedures.
*Identify opportunities to increase market share and revenue.
The Ideal Candidate Our client is looking for a confident and commercially minded property professional with a proven track record in residential lettings.
You will possess:
*Previous experience as a Lettings Manager, Assistant Lettings Manager, or Senior Lettings Negotiator.
*A strong record of winning instructions and generating new business.
*Excellent knowledge of the residential lettings market.
*Strong leadership and people management skills.
*Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
*A target-driven and entrepreneurial mindset.
*Solid understanding of lettings legislation and compliance requirements.
*Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
