Full job descriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Paralegal to join a well-established and highly regarded law firm with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional client service. The firm has a longstanding presence in the local community and is recognised for its supportive culture, excellent staff retention, and clear opportunities for career progression.
The successful candidate will join a busy and growing Private Client team, supporting solicitors across a broad range of matters including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), Probate, Estate Administration, and related private client work.
The Role
This is a full-time, office-based position offering exposure to high-quality private client work.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Managing and progressing a small caseload under supervision, with scope for increased responsibility over time
*Drafting legal documents, correspondence and supporting documentation
*Gathering, reviewing and analysing client information and documentation.
*Conducting legal and factual research as required
*Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions and other third parties
*Maintaining accurate file records and updating case management systems
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants should have:
*A minimum of 12 months’ experience within a Private Client, Wills & Probate
*Previous experience supporting matters relating to Wills, Probate, Estate Administration and LPAs
*Strong legal document drafting and document review skills
*Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail
*Effective written and verbal communication skills
*Strong research and analytical capabilities
*Experience using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
*The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively
*A professional, compassionate and client-focused approach
*A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive matters appropriately
A law degree, CILEx qualification, or relevant paralegal qualification would be advantageous but is not essential for candidates with suitable experience.
